Abstract

Applications of laser assisted treatment and cleaning of sensitive surfaces like varnish and paint are rapidly increasing. Often it is important to completely remove the paint as a preparatory step for a new sealing of the surface (see, e.g., airplane or car industry) Likewise this applies to the cleaning of stone facades, antiques or other objects suffering from dust and environmental impacts.
