Abstract
Organic solid state materials currently attract a considerable interest for innovative approaches in technology due to their low cost, easy processing features and mechanical flexibility together with a rich variety of electro-optical and photo-physical properties. This is most clearly evidenced by the progress of organic thin film displays, which have now reached the stage of industrial manufacturing, as well as by the recent first demonstration of an electrically pumped organic solid-state laser [1].
