Efficient and Broadband Optical Power Limiting in the Visible Range with Optimized Two-Photon Absorbing Chromophores

Abstract

We have studied the optical limiting properties of transparent fluorene oligomers and bisstilbene derivatives. The clamping level is less than 10 µJ using the F/5 geometry and 2.6 ns pulses in the visible spectral range (450–650 nm).
