Abstract
To gain large output power concentrated in a single-lobed far field pattern from a semiconductor laser array it is necessary to achieve in-phase synchronization between individual lasing elements. To this end, we study the synchronization dynamics in a laser array with randomly distributed optical frequencies. The coupling between the laser emitters is global and achieved by an external mirror [1].
