Abstract

The idea of using circular gratings as distributed feedback resonators for surface-emitting lasers was first introduced in 1988. Since then, many theoretical papers have been published on this subject. The reason for such interest is the potential possibilities to obtain high-power and low-divergence beam of circular symmetry.
