Abstract

Generation of continuous-wave red, green and blue laser radiation in the same laser crystal has potential applications in high brightness display technology. Recently, the possibility of obtaining continuous-wave red, green and blue laser radiation simultaneously in a single crystal of Nd3+-doped aperiodically poled LiNbO3 crystal has been demonstrated1. Ideally, such a system should include independent control of the output power at each colour.
