Abstract
In this paper we present the first design of an all-PM-fiber oscillator with a nonlinear optical loop mirror (NOLM) as an artificial saturable absorber. In contrary to previous works [1] the cavity of the laser is constructed entirely out of polarization maintaining fibers, decreasing the oscillator sensitivity to thermal and mechanical perturbations. The presented all-normal dispersion cavity is highly reliable and works in a dissipative soliton regime [2].
