Cryogenic Yb:YLF lasers mode-locked with saturable Bragg reflectors

Abstract

We report a SBR mode-locked cryogenic YbYLF laser generating sub-5-ps pulses with 28-W average power around 1017 nm and 105-ps pulses with 40-W average power around 995 nm, by employing Ea and Ec axes, respectively.
