Modeling Ultrafast Anharmonic Energy Flow With a Multi-THz Pump Bandwidth

Abstract

First-principles calculations were used to model multi-THz excitation and ultrafast coherent energy flow between vibrational degrees of freedom in gas-phase fluorobenzene. We determined the importance of anharmonic coupling and mode symmetry in intramolecular energy transfer.
