Effect of O/E Front-end Frequency Response on Carrier-less Phase Retrieval Receiver and its Compensation

Abstract

We investigate the effect of the opto-electronic front-end frequency response on carrier-less phase retrieval receivers. System performance improvement is verified by employing an adaptive equalizer preceding a modified Gerchberg–Saxton phase retrieval algorithm.
