Optical Interfacing a Single Molecule with Sodium Vapor

Abstract

A single molecule-based single photon source on the sodium D-lines transitions is presented. We achieve 6 × 105 detected cps and a line-width of 30 MHz. This exhibits the first integration of single molecules research and atomic spectroscopy.
