DPSK Demodulation Using Coherent Perfect Absorption

Abstract

We propose a scheme for on-chip DPSK demodulation with balanced detection by using coherent perfect absorption (CPA) in a microring resonator. Device operation is demonstrated with finite-difference time-domain simulations.
