Terahertz Power Enhancement by Improving Metal Adhesion Layer of Plasmonic Photoconductive Sources

Abstract

Impact of metal adhesion layer on performance of plasmonic terahertz sources is investigated. Up to 50% terahertz power enhancement is achieved when using Cr adhesion, compared to Ti adhesion used in existing plasmonic terahertz sources.
