Abstract
Stretched-pulse solitons are generated with record-short 120-fs duration. Stretched-pulse soliton trapping is demonstrated despite large intra-cavity dynamics, enabling controllable single-pulse performance. Theoretical predictions in excellent agreement with experiments provide insight and suggest opportunities for enhancement.
