Power-Over-Fiber Assisted Low-Cost and Remote RRH Based on Delta-Sigma Modulation

Abstract

We proposed a remote power-over-fiber system by introducing delta-sigma modulation to simultaneously simplify deployment of remote radio heads and reduce cost. It extends the remote distance to 4-km and realizes 37.2% optical power transmission efficiency.
