100mJ, 100W Cryogenically Cooled Yb:YLF Laser

Abstract

We present a cryogenically-cooled Yb: YLF laser system consisting of the all-fiber front end, regenerative and 8-pass booster amplifiers cooled to 78K, producing almost diffraction-limited sub-1-ps pulses with 100 mJ energy at a 1 kHz repetition rate.
