Single-Shot Wavefront Characterization of a High-Energy Focusing Beam Using a Phase-Diversity Grating

Abstract

A single-shot wavefront characterization scheme using a 2-D holographic grating was demonstrated on the OMEGA laser. A phase-retrieval algorithm using multiple defocused spots cropped from a single frame returns a unique wavefront solution.
