Nonlinear Polarization Rotation-Based Spectral Peaking Mode Filtering from Molecular Gas Absorption Spectra in Femtosecond Lasers

Abstract

We proposed mode-filtering technique of spectral peaks using nonlinear polarization rotation in optical fiber. Intense, narrow multiple spectral peaks with ~20 dB background ratio were successfully generated with CH4 gas cell and nonlinear fiber.
