Uncooled Silicon-based Terahertz Metamaterial Photodetectors with Ultrafast Response

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate an ultrafast terahertz detector based on n-type doped silicon at room temperature, based on the enhanced response from metamaterials. This strategy opens new possibilities in the development of integrated terahertz devices.
