Detection of Ethanol in Gasoline with a Mid-Infrared Microspectrometer Based on Metallic Metasurface Filters

Abstract

A microspectrometer comprising of sub-wavelength metallic micro-hole array filters in combination with a reverse-lens mid-infrared thermal camera is demonstrated. A Peltier module provides temperature stabilization. Results show determination of low ethanol content in unleaded gasoline.
