Optical thermometry at the nanoscale using diamond

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

Remote sensing of temperature is achieved using techniques involving nanodiamonds, allowing spatial sensitivity smaller than the resolution of visible light. Laser- induced optical heating has been characterised for nanodiamonds in air, highlighting this as an important consideration for all optical nanodiamond studies.
