Abstract

Quantum Key Distribution is gaining momentum as an ultimate solution for network security. The paper provides the network operator's point of view about the deployment of a quantum key distribution optical layer in metro-access, discussing resource sharing and constraints related to the coexistence of heterogeneous optical technologies.
