All-optical NACK for Fast Packet Retransmission in AWGR-based Optical Switches

Abstract

This paper presents an all-optical technique to provide an on-the-fly physical layer negative acknowledgement for packet retransmission in AWGR-based all-optical switches for datacom. Fast NACK notification and packet retransmission is demonstrated.
