Abstract

An external cavity InGaAsP-diode laser spectrometer operating at room temperature and tunable in the region from 1.490 µm to 1.525 µm has been developed for overtone spectroscopy and monitoring of molecular trace-gases. The molecular absorption in the near infrared region is due to exitation of vibrational-rotational transitions in combination or overtone bands.
