Abstract

The Kuramoto-Sivashinsky (KS) arises as an approximation in spatio-temporal dynamical systems, providing a facility to study spatio-temporal complexity and chaos in only one partial differential equation of a real quantity. It appears in the context with reaction-diffusion systems and hydrodynamic convective models, for instance.
