Abstract

In our previous papers [1,2] the laser effect in powdered inorganic luminophores doped with neodymium was demonstrated. Here we report that: 1. Laser oscillations in powdered samples are possible simultaneously on different Stark components of Nd3+-ion laser transition (the components have almost equal intensity).

2. In the case of powders consisting of the shapeless particles (e.g., Na5NdxLa1-x (MoO4)4), the generation frequency always corresponds to the centers of luminescent lines. However in samples consisting of perfect particles (e.g., LiNd(PO3)4 and NdP5O14) the generation can occur simultaneously on several frequencies in the boundaries of a single luminescent band.

3. The generation spectrum of the powders, with inhomogeniously broadened Nd-line (La2.76Nd0.24NbO7) expands during generation.
