Abstract
In this report effects of a space modulation of counter-propagating laser beams in the nonlinear DFB-structure are investigated. It is known [1] that the stop band centered at the Bragg frequency occurs for the radiation propagating through a linear DFB-structure. This stop band is shifted for the nonlinear DFB-structure because of the variation of the medium refraction coefficient. The DFB-structure’s nonlinearity for the monochromatic input beam leads to a dependence of the reflection coefficient on transverse coordinates. This effect gives rise to a space modulation both for the transmitted radiation and the reflected one.
