Abstract
Since the observation of solid state structures with X-ray patterns revealing icosahedral symmetry there has been a large effort to characterize these materials. Several theorists predict the existence of a strong depression in the electronic DOS close to the Fermi level and so far only electrical conductivity measurements have been succesfull in the detection of this pseudo-gap[1].
