Abstract

It is well known that due to an internal optical feedback, multi-layer nonlinear structures irradiated by monochromatic light field can demonstrate various effects such as bistability, complex pulse transmission dynamics, etc [1]. In view of possible applications in optical parallel data processing an important issue is the study of the role of transverse spatial degree of freedom in the problem of light signal propagation in a nonlinear multilayer structure.
