Abstract

We report, measurements performed on polarized Cs atoms confined around the magnetic field minimum of a Ioffe-Pritchard type trap. The initial cloud contains 5 × 107 atoms at T = 100μK. We have studied the radio-frequency evaporation of this cloud with the atoms prepared either in the F = 4 or in the F = 3 hyperfine ground level.
