Abstract

This work presents the extension of our first study of the laser-induced dynamics of a collision pair ( O+H ) interacting with an infrared sub-picosecond laser pulse [1]. The initial state of the system is chosen to be a free state with Gaussian distribution of momenta. As the atoms are approaching each other, they start to interact through the Morse or ab initio potential with each other and through the dipole moment function with the laser field. The time-dependent Schrodinger equation is solved for a grid representation by the split time propagation method with the fast Fourier transform procedure.
