Abstract

Raman conversion to shorter wavelengths of visible and UV radiation has been studied by several authors /1,2/. Hydrogen is especially suited because of its large Raman shift and low dispersion. In plasma diagnostics, there exists considerable interest to determine the concentration and eventually the flux of 1ow-Z-materials such as O, C, Si, Be, B and others in the piasma-to-wal1 transition layer by laser-induced fluorescence spectroscopy.
