Incoherent LWIR Optical Edge Detection With Inversely Designed Metasurfaces

Abstract

This work demonstrates incoherent, broadband, low-noise, LWIR optical edge detection of real world scenes by combing the broadband focusing of a refractive lens with the wavefront shaping of an inversely designed, large-scale metasurface.
