Abstract
The optical transmittance of polymer pillars is analyzed under a variety of conditions. This is accomplished by fabricating polymer pillars atop glass slides and illuminating them from one end while capturing the output transmittance at the other. Analysis shows that polymer pillars are a good optical interconnect candidate for chip- level input/output interconnects.
