Abstract
Parabolic refractive x-ray lenses, made of light elements like beryllium and aluminium, are novel optical components for hard x-ray microscopy and analysis. They can be used like glass lenses are used for visible light. However, their numerical aperture is very small. They reach a lateral resolution below 100 nm.
