Large Area Plasmonic Photoconductive Emitters for Generating High Power Broadband Terahertz Radiation

Abstract

We present a novel design of large area photoconductive emitters based on plasmonic contact electrodes. A record-high-power radiation of 3.6 mW over 0.1-3 THz frequency range is demonstrated at 150 mW optical pump power.
