Optical phase of arbitrary non-orthogonal Jones matrices

Abstract

The optical phase (dynamic and geometric) introduced by an optical system described by a Jones matrix with non-orthogonal eigenvectors is analytically determined. We characterize the conditions to get ortho-transmission states.
