Low loss dispersion compensation of high-speed PAM4 data over fiber using silicon nitride gratings

Abstract

We present an ultra-low loss silicon nitride grating device for compensation of dispersion impairments from 6km and 10km of single mode fiber. More than 14dB reduction in the transmitter and dispersion eye closure quaternary is achieved.
