Spherical Aberration of a Schematic Eye with a Grin Crystalline Lens in Several Accommodation States

Abstract

In a previous work1 we analyzed the spherical aberration of LeGrand’s unaccommodated theoretical eye2 modified by several GRIN crystalline-lens models. That effort has been complemented by the present work, in which we consider several theoretical eyes, with different states of accommodation, in a search for a more detailed analysis of the influence in the spherical aberration of both a homogeous/GRIN crystalline model and a spherical/aspherical corneal surface.
