Abstract

We provide a CPU-time vs. accuracy comparison as a building-block for choosing among the multitude of numerical methods for wave equation solution (collocation-related, integral equation and shooting). Relative performance depends on both profile and guidance parameter, V. Shooting extrapolation and boundary-matching forms provide refinements for maximum efficiency.
