Passive coherent combining of chirped pulse Yb:YAG amplifiers

Abstract

Two-channel Yb:YAG amplifier with passive coherent combining is realized. 10mJ pulse energy at 1.5 kHz repetition rate and 5mJ at 6kHz is demonstrated together with high gain coefficient and perfect beam quality.
