Abstract
The spectroscopic properties of praseodymium ions in inorganic matrices are certainly less investigated then other rare earth ions. This is mainly to difficulties which arrise in the interpretation of the experimental data. In our previous papers [1,2] the intensity analysis of f-f transitions of the Pr3+ ion in LiPrP4O12 as well as the crystallographic data, are presented. A laser action in this crystal was observed by Szafrahski et al. [3].
