Abstract

The authors studied the mobility and conformation of side chains of different lengths in the copolymers of the N-al-kyl acryl amide and methacryl amide types from the depolarization of fluorescence and from the efficiency of the nonradiative energy transfer between tryptophane fluorochrome bonded in the immediate vicinity of the polymer backbone and 1-dimethyl amino-5-naphthalene sulphonamide fluorochrome at the end of the side chain.
