Instabilities Associated with Hopf Bifurcations in Semiconductor Lasers

Abstract

The stabilility properties of oscillations arising at Hopf bifurcations in semiconductor lasers have been analysed. Numerical examples utilising typical GaAs laser parameters show that both unstable and stable oscillations may occur.
