Abstract

An optical branched circuit is one of the important devices in optical communication systems. Several different types of such optical device have been reported.1),2),3) We previously reported a 4-port branched circuit with planar gradient-index glass waveguide fabricated by an electric field assisted two stage ion migration process.4)
