High-Speed Ti:LiNbO3 Switch/Modulators: Recent Advances and Applications

Abstract

High-Speed Ti:LiNbO3 phase, amplitude, and intensity modulators and space switches provide unique capabilities in optical communication and signal processing. We review progress on these devices including the areas of specialized designs, theoretical understanding, experimental system demonstrations, and possible uses.
