Abstract

Previously developed were by the author exact functions for a series of aberrations in the centered optical systems at the assumption that the object space is aberration free.

In the present report discussed are optical systems in the presence of object aberrations. Discussed is in details the function for transforming the object meridional curvature into image one. Given are functions and numerical examples for exact analytical correction of one and two aberrations with the help of linear Example is given for stabilization of the meridional curvature on a main ray for all object distances Za within the interval 0 ≤ |Za|≤ ∞.

Mentioned are some possibilities and trends of development of the non-approximation theory of aberrations.
