Abstract

Modern astronomical problems require extensive computational power, particularly in the area of interactive data handling, which are not adequately dealt with through the traditional large main frame computer. At Penn State we are contemplating major observational projects involving VLA observations and large format (800 x 800) CCD data of both X-ray and optical nature.
