Properties of quasi-phase-matching lithium niobate waveguides

Abstract

Quasi-phase-matching channel waveguides have been fabricated in LiNbO3. The fabrication procedure is based on outdiffusion-induced periodic domain inversion followed by waveguide fabrication by the annealed proton exchange technique.1 Such waveguides have previously been used for second harmonic generation1 and we now report further investigations of their properties.
