Abstract

In 1987, Stone and Stulz described three configurations of fiber Fabry-Perot (FFP) interferometric filters that could span a wide spectrum of bandwidths and tuning ranges.1 In 1990, the author commercialized a filter based on the above work providing researchers with a stable, field-worthy, manufacturable optical filter with optimum performance.2
